Main Composition of Spent Grain Drying System
The brewer’s spent grain drying system is mainly composed of dehydration equipment, heat source, conveyor, feeder, rotary drum, discharging machine, induced draft fan, unloader, power distribution cabinet, crushing system, packaging system and other components. Process selection can be made according to different distiller’s grains.
How does the Brewer’s Grain Dryer Work?
The brewer’s grain is sent to the hopper of the dryer through the screw conveyor, then smoothly enters the drum through the inclined feeding pipe. The barrel rotates slowly with a certain inclination angle to the horizontal line. The distiller’s grain enter the barrel from the higher end, and slowly move toward the lower end under the action of gravity. At the same time, the heat carrier enters from the lower end and contacts with distiller’s grain in reverse direction. In the process of contact, the distiller’s grains are dried.
